Tell a friend about the Repeal the Death Tax initiative, plus: Zoom meeting Friday for volunteers

We’re excited to tell you that the campaign to Repeal the Death Tax has now signed up more than 2,800 volunteers to circulate the official initiative petition and collect signatures to get this important measure on the November 2022 ballot! But we must collect 1.3 million signatures by mid-April to make this happen, so we need your help right now!

If you haven’t yet requested an official petition to sign and circulate, you can click here and fill out the form – you can also request other materials, such as a banner to attach to a signature-gathering table, or door-hangers if you’d like to walk your neighborhood.

We now have an online forum for Repeal the Death Tax volunteers! You can find signing locations in your area, and connect or chat with other volunteers who are circulating petitions. Click here to visit the new forum. Register today and start posting!

It will take a lot of effort and resources to get this across the finish line. If you’re not able to circulate a petition personally, consider donating to help. Please tell your friends about this important campaign to restore the ability of parents to transfer property to their kids without losing the Prop. 13-protected tax assessment. The death tax means the property will be reassessed to market value when passed to the next generation. The death tax is hurting families in communities across California, and that’s why the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association is fighting to repeal it.
