We wanted to make sure you saw this BIG news, John:
Salon:
"Ohio Supreme Court throws out illegally gerrymandered map that would give GOP supermajorities"
Republicans in Ohio created some of the nation's worst gerrymanders in 2021. But now the state Supreme Court has thrown out their gerrymandered state House, state Senate, AND congressional maps!
While this is a massive win, we have a lot of work left to do in Ohio and other states -- so can you pitch in NOW to help us win the fight for fair redistricting?

It's hard to overstate how bad these discarded maps were. They would have likely given the GOP control of 67% of state House seats, 70% of state Senate seats, and EIGHTY PERCENT of Ohio’s congressional seats. This is in a state where just over half of the vote in recent elections went to the GOP!
But while we're celebrating this victory, the story isn't over. The Ohio legislature must now redraw the maps, and we suspect Republicans have more dirty tricks to pull. Plus, maps still haven't been adopted in Florida, Pennsylvania, and a number of other states.
Can you help the NDRC continue our critical work to demand fair maps? Let’s win more victories like this one!
