This weekend, I was proud to stand alongside dozens of Wisconsinites in the March for Fair maps.

Over the past year, 19 states have passed 33 laws to make it harder for Americans to vote, and blatant partisan gerrymandering has taken control of this year’s redistricting process.

Then, Republicans in the House and Senate stonewalled The For The People Act and The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act – both of which would have made it harder for states to pass laws aimed at disenfranchising voters of color.

Republicans are afraid of letting the people vote, and they are doing everything in their power to stop us from making our voices heard.

When I am in the Senate, I will fight to pass the Freedom to Vote Act for voting rights protections – but I can’t get there without the support of my grassroots team.
