A new national study has just concluded that gun safety policies save lives. Currently, Georgia ranks #36 out of all 50 states for gun safety, BUT our far-right Governor wants to loosen Georgia’s gun laws.

All month, Lucy has been using her platform to call attention to GOP Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s dangerous new proposal to loosen our state’s gun laws. So, we wanted to call your attention to a newly released national study that conclusively finds "Gun Safety Policies Save Lives." [1]

AND, this study underscores how important Lucy’s advocacy and leadership are here for our state – calling Georgia’s gun laws a “Weak System,” ranking #36 nationally:

The scientific evidence is staring Governor Kemp right in the face (just like on COVID-19, climate change, etc.), but in a re-election year, he would rather pander to his far-right base than enact stronger gun safety policies that we know work to reduce gun violence and save lives. Frankly, it’s sickening.
