Dear John,

“Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
- Winston Churchill

Teaching about the Holocaust can be challenging, but it is a critical piece of history that young people should learn – especially with the persistence of antisemitism in today’s society, as was recently witnessed with the hostage incident at Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, TX.

We hope that you will take the opportunity on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27th, to teach about the lessons of the Holocaust and antisemitism in today’s world. To support you in this effort, we have curated the following professional learning opportunities and teaching resources:

Webinars from Echoes & Reflections to support teaching about the Holocaust and its lessons for today.

Online courses for secondary educators on Examining Antisemitism in American Culture and Society and Holocaust education.

Antisemitism Digital Kit offers a collection of Holocaust and antisemitism-related educational resources and tools.

Digital and online professional learning opportunities centered on foundational anti-bias concepts.

We hope these programs and resources help you address this important topic during a critical time in our country’s history.

Sincerely,

The ADL Education team
