Dear John, Great news today! Luxury Italian fashion brand Moncler is going fur-free. The announcement came after intense pressure from activists and discussions with member organizations of the Fur Free Alliance, which LCA is a part. Moncler has committed to removing animal fur, obtained from animals specially bred or captured in the wild, from all its collections after Fall/Winter 2023. It has also announced it will stop sourcing fur this year. Moncler joins a growing number of international fashion brands, including Armani, Gucci & Prada, that are going fur-free. This is good news, but on behalf of the millions of animals who are killed and tortured by the fur industry each year, we won't stop fighting until all retailers stop selling fur and fur is banned globally. Moncler's commitment to going fur-free demonstrates how dedicated people, like you, can make a difference in the lives of animals. |
