John,

It's been a busy start to the 1st month of the new year for Team Hahn, and things will only continue to pick up from here.

At Team Hahn, we're working on expanding our outreach, building on our past success, and engaging new voters. That's how we'll win and flip New York's District 1st blue.

But since you're such a big part of this movement, I want to thank you and everyone who has supported Kara, including those who have joined us in this new year.

Here are some things you may have missed this month, John >>

First, let me start by introducing you all to one of our newest additions to Team Hahn: Our Finance Director Zach Shenkman! Since coming onboard, Zach has been pivotal in helping our team reach our fundraising goals and keeping our momentum going.

Here's where we're at for the month: With a goal of $30,000 for our end-of-month goal, we have raised a total of $15,155.

We're doing well, but Zach has let me know we're running a bit behind this month. We've still got 6 days to close this gap, but that's always easier said than done. If you can, please chip in $5 or anything you can; it'll help us on our way to flipping New York's District 1st blue.

On January 12th, we officially received the endorsement of over 50 Brookhaven Town Democratic Committee members.

Kara in the News:

TBR Newsmedia: County legislature approves access to fentanyl test strips

"Opioids kill, that is why I pushed for the county to become certified to provide naloxone trainings that put this life-saving antidote in more hands; fentanyl kills, that is why I am pushing for increased access to test strips, which will give this life-saving tool greater reach,"" Hahn said. In a statement, the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence commended Hahn and the county government for addressing the realities of the dual pandemic of the opioid crisis, fueled by fear and anxieties of COVID-19.
