Dear John,

It’s been a busy time in Washington, DC. EDF Action has been working tirelessly to secure the most impactful climate action bill we can get out of Congress. And the team is gearing up for an ambitious voter mobilization to defend and expand our climate majority this fall.

At this pivotal moment in the fight for climate progress, EDF Action is thrilled to welcome David Kieve as its new president.

David joins EDF Action from the Biden administration where he served as Director of Public Engagement for the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality.

Before joining the administration, David served as a senior member of the Biden-Harris campaign, leading engagement to the broad community of stakeholders motivated by a desire to see the climate crisis adequately addressed. He led all outreach to a diverse group of stakeholders to forge consensus on the need for bold climate action.

David will bring his nearly 20 years of experience with campaigns and advocacy to his new role and help fight for sound science and bold climate solutions required to tackle the most serious environmental threat humanity has ever faced.

Please help welcome David to EDF Action.

And the best way to do so is by building momentum for the climate actions we need out of Washington. Take action today to urge your members of Congress to stay focused on delivering on President Biden’s ambitious climate action plan.

With razor thin majorities in the House and Senate, every vote counts and therefore every action we take counts.

Thank you for your advocacy and support. And we look forward to your continued engagement on these critical issues as we supercharge our efforts to secure a safer climate future.

Gratefully yours,

Joe Bonfiglio
Former EDF Action President

P.S. I’m thrilled to have David in my former role. But I’m not going far. I'll be taking on a new role at EDF, helping manage the organization's extensive work across the United States.
