There’s no denying that the midterms present a historic challenge for Democrats, but all signs show that Cheri Beasley in North Carolina is our best chance to flip a seat.

NBC just said North Carolina was one of the races to watch that could determine which party controls the Senate, saying this about why it’s such a battleground:

North Carolina will "test both parties in a Southern state with racially diverse areas and a mix of suburban and rural voters."

Right after that, CNN’s data analysts showed that Democrats’ best chance to pick up a seat is where a Republican is retiring — “most notably in North Carolina” as they said.

In order to make history, we must defy history. That’s the opportunity we have in North Carolina, so we need to ask:
