We’re entering week two — yes it’s only week two — of the Youngkin administration. In only one week Glenn and his GOP cronies have already started to try and roll back Virginia’s progress. Here’s a quick rundown of what they’ve already started doing:

Glenn Youngkin seemingly violated Virginia law by his third day in office. He put kids and teachers at risk by unconstitutionally repealing the mask requirement in Virginia public schools.

Jason Miyares went on offense to ban abortion and called on the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Winsome Sears called for the defunding of schools that chose to continue to keep students and teachers healthy by following the mask requirement law.

Amanda Chase filed a bill peddling misinformation and far-right conspiracies that would permit doctors to use ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.

Nick Frietas joined a slate of radical Republicans in the House to go on offense against Virginians’ rights to reproductive freedom and filed a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks.

Folks — this is only a fraction of what Glenn Youngkin and the Republican Party of Virginia have been doing to erode our progress and send the commonwealth back in time.
