Jack, we’re growing all across our nation. The gerrymandering and voter suppression we’ve experienced here in North Carolina is rampant in Pennsylvania as well.
But what do the Commonwealth and the Old North State have in common? Lots, but we’re focusing on two things:
- We’re both battleground states.
- The New Pennsylvania Project and the New North Carolina Project both have boots on the ground to expand the electorate and encourage communities of color to become #VotersForever.
We are knocking on doors and educating voters of color why participation in our democracy matters. Neither of us is telling folks who to vote for – but we’re giving them the tools and information so they can decide for themselves, in their communities, where they are at. Not the other way around.
