My favorite part of being a public servant is doing good for the incredible New Jerseyans and everyday Americans who I represent and fight for on the Senate floor. It’s the remarkable people I meet and captivating stories I hear that remind me there’s so much love in our country, and I try to reflect that every day.

Whenever I start to feel discouraged or get exasperated — as some of you may have seen during the Senate debate on voting rights last week — I remember all it takes is a little bit of love, a whole lot of perseverance, and an unrelenting grassroots team to deliver real change. That work doesn’t stop after one election.

I’m feeling optimistic. Don’t get me wrong — I know it’s going to be an uphill battle to build our majority and end Senate gridlock. But I believe we can do it. Here’s how:

Coming off of my reelection in 2020, my campaign’s full focus is on supporting my Senate colleagues and electing new ones to build our majority. We have to pass voting rights. Protect our climate. And compete in every single Senate race to do it.
