Friend, last week I emailed you about two critical California climate bills we need the State Senate to pass.

SB 260 would hold large California corporations accountable for their pollution. And SB 342 would give the communities most impacted by pollution a voice on the board that oversees their air quality.

Will you call or tweet at your State Senator to make sure they are voting YES on SB 260 and SB 342?

The deadline for the legislature to pass these bills is coming up on January 31.

The Climate Corporate Accountability Act (SB 260) – our sponsored bill (!!) – would require large corporations doing business in California to publicly disclose their full carbon footprint in a transparent, easy-to-understand way.

SB 342 would add two environmental justice seats onto the board of the Southern California agency that manages about half of the state population’s air quality. That means adding voices of people who actually live in communities dealing with toxic air pollution and who have proven track records of fighting for environmental justice.

Friend, calling and tweeting at your legislator directly is one of the best ways to make your voice heard on an issue.

All Californians deserve transparency and accountability, and all Californians deserve to breathe clean air. Before next week’s deadline, reach out to your State Senator to help pass SB 260 and SB 342!

Thanks for being in this fight with us.
