John,

McDonald's promised a plan to combat their rotten culture of sexual harassment months ago. Since then? Nothing.

We all deserve to work without fear of sexual harassment and intimidation. If McDonald's won't address the pattern of sexual harassment in their stores, WE will.

That's why Fight for $15 and a Union is teaming up with Futures Without Violence to develop a worker-led program to end sexual harassment in fast-food restaurants. Support our fight and tell McDonald's to respect workers and survivors >> [[link removed]]

The big difference between our plan and anything McDonald's can slap together? This program will be by and for us . We're centering the experiences of actual fast-food workers and survivors, not out-of-touch executives. And we're training other workers so we can all ensure our workplaces are safe.

When I decided to speak out about sexual harassment on the job, I was terrified but it also felt like a huge weight off my shoulders, especially because I knew I wasn't fighting alone.

McDonald's workers like me have filed more than 50 complaints of sexual harassment since 2016, and many of us who have spoken up have experienced retaliation.

I'm done waiting for McDonald's executives to decide that workers like me are worthy of respect. McDonald's has shown us time and time again that they won't protect us from COVID, workplace violence, or sexual harassment. That's why we're caring for each other -- and designing the resources we need to create truly safe workplaces.

McDonald's will never be a safe place to work unless workers have a seat at the table. We're not standing by -- we're bringing our own chair. Sign now and tell McDonald's: safe workplaces NOW >> [[link removed]]

In solidarity,

Angelica Hernandez
