Dear Friend,

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking public comments on how the government can prevent family separation at our borders from happening again. The deadline to submit a comment and make your voice heard is tonight, Tuesday, January 25, at 11:59 pm ET. It's especially important for you to participate because in recent days, people have flooded the government’s website with hateful messages supporting family separation. We can't let hate and xenophobia have the last word.

Please join us in submitting a comment to demand that the government ensure family separation never happens again and that it provide comprehensive services and permanent protection for separated families. We've put together a template comment to get you started. Click here for that and more information about submitting your comment. This will not take more than five minutes of your time.

Thank you for standing with immigrant families,

Jennifer Nagda
Policy Director
