Today is a special day for Ruth’s List Florida. Not only has it been one year since Lucy Sedgwick took the reins as President and CEO, it’s also her birthday!

With Lucy at the helm, Ruth’s List has grown and achieved so much in the last year. We’ve endorsed an impressive slate of candidates, launched new regional networks, expanded our staff capacity, and increased our membership. Ruth’s List has become the go-to-resource for Democratic pro-choice women running for office and a key player in Florida politics. 

With all the challenges thrown our way, Lucy has been a calm and steady leader, deeply committed to our cause: electing Democratic pro-choice women across Florida, at all levels of state and local government. With her leadership, we’ve set ambitious goals this year — to recruit, train, and elect a record number of women candidates, as well as ensure our incumbents keep their seats.
