Friend,

I'm excited to announce that later this week, I'll be sitting down with Rep. Pramila Jayapal1 for the next round of Policy + Pints, Evergreen's virtual event series. We're going to discuss why2 and how3 the Senate absolutely must pass the climate investments in the Build Back Better Act—and I'd really love to see you there. Click here to RSVP and join me and Rep. Jayapal on Thursday, January 27 at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.

I don't care what's in your pint glass—you can join us with beer, seltzer, tea, coffee, even a pint of ice cream.

But for me, the policy is non-negotiable. Here's what I mean: The $555 billion of climate investments we're fighting for isn't some abstract number. It represents real human lives that we can save right here, right now.

The climate crisis is here, and it's hitting communities of color first and worst. Our Black, Brown, and Indigenous neighbors are on the frontlines, and they're counting on us.

We have the chance to make a historic, long-overdue down payment on defeating the climate crisis. We have the chance to defend the most vulnerable and build communities where families can thrive for generations to come. We have the chance to create good-paying clean energy jobs in these very same communities.

And this Thursday, you'll have the chance to hear more about this directly from me and Rep. Jayapal. You won't want to miss it: RSVP to join us on Thursday, January 27 at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT to hear more about the vital importance of these climate investments. We'll raise a glass to getting them passed in 2022!

See you next Thursday,

Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr.
Evergreen Advisory Board Member
