Dear [name],

We’re starting 2022 with profound gratitude. We set an ambitious year-end fundraising goal to power our efforts on the tough challenges ahead – and we topped it!

Generous supporters and colleagues contributed $16,350 to the Center for Genetics and Society, 50% more than in any previous year. All of us are honored and bowled over by this vote of confidence.

It’s not too late to pitch in! Please consider adding your contribution to the fight for genetic justice.
The coming year will be critical. In 2022, CGS will:

  • ramp up our efforts to put social justice and human rights at the center of debate about heritable genome editing (what some call “CRISPR baby technology”),
  • push back against excesses and abuses in the for-profit fertility industry and expand Surrogacy360.org, already the most comprehensive independent source of information on commercial surrogacy,
  • expose the eugenic roots of the life sciences, and connect the dots to the choices being made today about powerful new genetic and reproductive technologies.

We hope you’ll keep in touch throughout the year. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to our bi-weekly newsletter and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. If you know someone who’d be interested, please encourage them to do the same.

To a just and equitable human future,
Marcy Darnovsky, Katie Hasson, and the CGS team
