John,

Before I ask you to start your
annual membership support for 2022, I ask you to picture Banning
Ranch, one of the largest tracts of private land remaining on the
southern California coast.

Picture these 348 acres - a
biologically diverse mix of coastal wetlands, riparian woodlands,
coastal bluff sagescrub, grassland, vernal pools, and rare species
habitat, all within a highly urbanized region in southern California
- permanently protected.

Even better, picture the property
as a public park, serving over 8.4 million people who live within an
hour's drive of the property - about half of whom are
considered low-income and one-third of whom live in park-deficient
communities.

That is the opportunity The Trust
for Public Land has with Banning Ranch, and it's just ONE of the
many efforts you'll be supporting when you join us with a
membership gift today.

Your support is so important for
Banning Ranch and for all the projects that are part of our aggressive
plan to save one million acres of land, preserve 1,000 miles of scenic
rivers, and build or connect 1,000 miles of trails by 2025.

In fact, our members helped us
complete the Butte Falls Community Forest in Oregon. This 450-acre
property provides this Oregon community with hiking and biking trails,
a historic railroad park, park amenities to promote public access, and
managed forestland.

But just a few days remain before we conclude our January
Membership Drive, so I hope you won't wait another day to become
a member for 2022 today.

P.S. Every day, America loses 6,000
acres of forests, farms, meadows, and woods to incompatible
development - that's almost 2.2 million acres of lost land
every year. When you picture that, I hope you won't hesitate
to join The Trust for Public Land to create parks and protect public
land for people.
