After the horrendous acts by Donald Trump loyalists on Jan. 6, ten Republicans decided to put country above party and voted to impeach Trump.
But they are now paying the political price: they’re being shoved out of office and out of their own party to pave the way for a Total Trump Takeover.
John Katko (R-NY 24) is the latest casualty in this wave of Trump fealty:
“[Katko] had grown increasingly marginalized by conservatives at home and among House Republicans on Capitol Hill, who have demanded total loyalty to Mr. Trump, played down the severity of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and eschewed working with President Biden.”
The people who will replace these Republicans will be more extreme and more devoted in their loyalty to Donald Trump. They will gladly trample on the Constitution when Donald Trump asks them to…some already did when they invaded the Capitol.
We must fight to save Democratic seats from the extremists eyeing them. It’s an emergency that warrants a 5X match. Can we count on you?
