Apply to Arena Academy 201 online to gain the skills you need to manage people and build inclusive and equitable campaigns.

Arena Community,

It’s time to disrupt burnout culture in progressive politics and prepare campaign leaders with the tools and the confidence they need to win.

Too often, we hear stories from staffers who feel like they have to choose between taking care of themselves and winning. After two-plus years of the pandemic, we all know the culture of care on campaigns has to change.

We can do something. Leaders with strong management skills and confidence in wielding the right tools can build inclusive, sustainable teams that help make our movement stronger.

That’s why we’re running Arena Academy 201 Online April 1-3. The training will equip current and aspiring campaign leaders with the management skills to run strategic, people-centered teams that win elections.

Apply to Arena Academy 201 Online by March 7.

When progressive campaigns build inclusive and equitable teams, they are more likely to hire and retain women, people of color, people with marginalized identities, those who are parents, and people from working class backgrounds. The exact people we need to make decisions and inform our strategies.

We’re partnering with groups on the ground in Michigan and North Carolina -- two states guaranteed to be critical battlegrounds come November -- for this Academy 201. Applicants from across the country are encouraged to apply, and those interested in working in MI or NC are especially encouraged to apply.

If you have at least one cycle of campaign experience (three months or more), currently manage or want to manage people and programs on a campaign, and are eager to join or reconnect with a passionate and dedicated community of progressive professionals, this training is for you. Previous Arena Academy graduates are encouraged to apply.
