2022 marks the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that guarantees a woman’s right to choose under the United States Constitution.

Conservative groups have tried relentlessly to overturn that precedent and prevent women from accessing critical reproductive health care — and their efforts have escalated dramatically in the last year.

And now, the conservative super-majority on the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe, which means we need to take strong, swift action right away.

Will you take a moment to sign our petition calling for Congress to take action on a federal law that would uphold our reproductive rights? We cannot allow this ultraconservative Supreme Court to interfere with our Constitutional rights and freedoms.

The Supreme Court justices recently heard arguments about a Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. If they uphold this dangerous law, Roe v. Wade would be overturned and states across the country would immediately ban abortions.

Not only would this be a terrible infringement on women’s rights, it would put many women’s lives in danger. Some might choose to get an unsafe, illegal abortion. Some might continue with a risky pregnancy. Millions of women would be left without access to critical health care services.

No matter what happens with this particular decision, women’s reproductive rights will remain in jeopardy until we have a federal law on the books that bans limitations on abortion services.
