Senator Duckworth is one of the hardest workers in the Senate; always putting the needs of her constituents above all else. She’s also up for re-election this year, and we must make sure she keeps her seat.

To know Tammy Duckworth’s story is to know what true heroism means. She was one of the first handful of women in the Army to fly combat missions in Iraq, and lost both her legs and partial use of her right arm when a rocket propelled grenade exploded in her Blackhawk helicopter.

She woke up, as she puts it, “wounded, but not defeated.” After fighting for her own life, she decided to dedicate her time to fighting for others. She’s fought for better mental health care for our Veterans, and to end Veteran homelessness. She is an advocate for people with disabilities. And she played a crucial role in both the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that passed last year.

And Tammy had to defeat a Republican incumbent to win her seat in 2016. There is no such thing as a safe seat. We can’t take any chances on Senator Duckworth not returning to Washington.
