ASBN Live - Upcoming Webinars

Wednesday, February 2, 1pm ET Resilient Leadership: Tools to Manage Stress, Anxiety and Uncertainty in Yourself and Your Team to Be a More Effective Leader

Join us for an interactive webinar with Bonnie Coberly and Valentina Roldan, Senior Advisors with Jumpscale.

In these uncertain times, leaders and their teams are reporting higher levels of stress and burnout than ever before. Resilience is needed now more than ever. How can you stay grounded and resourced to lead effectively? What tools can you use to support your team members who are struggling? Bonnie and Valentina will walk you through some key ways to support your nervous system (and the body’s stress response), how to audit and manage your daily energy to accomplish what’s needed, and how to work on your inner belief systems that may be getting in the way.

Wednesday, February 9, 1pm ET - Investing in the Spatial Practice of Democracy

This webinar will explore how a growing interdisciplinary consortium of practitioners are using the Designing for Democracy platform to spatially interrogate and actualize democratic values we strongly believe are intrinsically important in scaling a just and inclusive built environment. April DeSimone (Trahan Architects) will share DFD's framework which investigates and defines how we view spatial practice from the lens of healing, equity, and justice.

Wednesday, February 16, 1pm ET - WALDEN MUTUAL BANK: Seeking the First New Mutual Bank Charter in a Generation

Join us to discuss Walden Mutual Bank, an interactive webinar with Charley Cummings (CEO) and Vince Sicilliano (Board Chair).

Walden Mutual Bank is seeking the first new mutual bank charter granted in a generation, to support lending in the sustainable local food ecosystem in New England and New York, while offering consumer deposit accounts aligned with social and environmental impact. Cummings will describe how mutual banks, which are ultimately owned by depositors and governed by a board of independent Corporators, are ripe for reinvention in the modern era. The Bank intends to open in the second quarter of 2022, and is seeking investment in its Special Deposits, which serve as the bank’s regulatory capital.

Climate & Energy Working Group

Thursday, January 27, 1-2pm ET - Contact Michael Green to Participate

Climate & Energy Working Group The objective of ASBN’s Climate & Energy working group is to discuss and identify key problems, solutions and strategies to address the climate and energy crisis our planet is facing. Global temperature has been on the rise, with the first decade of the 21st century the warmest on record. Overwhelmingly, scientists agree that man-made climate change is occurring. Climate events are indisputably more frequent, more severe and more destructive.
