. We’re not giving up Wisconsin needs the Senate to pass Build Back Better
John,
Let's face it. National politics are frustrating. Maddening sometimes, even. In spite of what you may have heard on cable news or broadcast across your social media feeds, let’s be clear: Build Back Better is not dead. There are many remaining options to get this stalled piece of legislation passed, including critical climate provisions. It’s time to ensure climate investments in the Build Back Better Act become law. I know you care deeply about climate justice, jobs, and a brighter future for Wisconsin – Build Back better can still be a part of that future. We can not give up. The devastating costs of inaction will not wait for uneasy politicians worried about upsetting billionaire donors to stop waffling on climate change. The Build Back Better Act will help Wisconsin secure a cleaner, more prosperous future for all. We’re encouraged by President Biden’s confidence in the Build Back Better Act’s climate provisions. Those provisions need to become law. Time is running out. Climate pollution must be reduced as much and as quickly as possible and in an equitable, just way. Don’t believe the hype. There is no reason to give up on the Build Back Better Act, especially its climate provisions. Thanks for being a conservation voter, Kerry Schumann Executive Director Wisconsin Conservation Voters |
