** Endorsement: Viktor Orbán For Prime Minister Of Hungary

The New York Young Republican Club proudly endorses Viktor Orbán for Prime Minister of Hungary. Orbán served as Prime Minister from 1998 to 2002 and as Leader of the Opposition from 2002 to 2010 before his second premiership began in 2010. Throughout his political career, Orbán has been a great defender of Western Civilization and the rights of the family. Orbán has stalwartly defended the people of Hungary and pushed back against globalist encroachment on his nation’s sovereignty.

In seeking another term as Prime Minister, Orbán commits to continue his focus on the success of the Hungarian people collectively while respecting and supporting the traditional civil rights of the individual. Orbán’s Hungary has worked toward national self-sufficiency, national sovereignty, family-centered policies, full employment, and the preservation of cultural heritage. Many politicians speak on these issues, but Orbán acts. His leadership was particularly resolute during the 2015 European migrant crisis and subsequent reforms curbing illegal immigration; he built an effective wall along Hungary’s border in which all Hungarians should take pride. He also engineered the eviction of the George Soros-funded Central European University from Hungary, eliminating a toxic entity that fomented hatred of Western Civilization among Hungarian youth. Orbán is a member of the Calvinist Hungarian Reformed Church, while his wife and their five children are Roman Catholic, and he is a stalwart
supporter of Christian values in his role as Prime Minister.

This is the first international endorsement the Club has made, but it is a natural one. The Club has a long history advocating for the Hungarian people when they were under communist rule and has been a friend to Hungary since Hungary’s liberation from communist tyranny. In the past, the Club assisted with the Hungarian Relief Program, offering to sponsor young Hungarian refugees for study at an accredited American college or university in the United States. In 1958, the Club condemned the cruel murders of Imre Nagy and General Pal Maleter by the Soviet Union.

Today, both the United States of America and countries in Europe like Hungary face an existential crisis. The ruling elite and political establishment’s failed leadership and ideology have eroded the meaning and purpose of citizenship. For those against this ideology and for the preservation of Western civilization for all countries in the West, it is imperative that we stand in support of one another as national communities. The New York Young Republican Club strongly urges all voters in Hungary to help preserve Western Civilization by re-electing Viktor Orbán as Prime Minister of Hungary.

** Nominations For 2022 New York State Young Republicans Rising Star Awards

The New York State Young Republicans (NYSYR) plan to award Rising Stars within the New York Young Republican movement at their annual convention this year. The NYSRS has asked that our Club provide two nominees for this award (one male and one female—no Apache helicopters, sadly). The Board of Governors, therefore, requests that all Members share their perspectives on which Club Members would best fill this role and has created a form available here ([link removed]) to collect this data. After receiving and reviewing nominees and supporting statements, the Board of Governors will revert to Members on the next step to select our nominees.

** Not One Second Of The 2022 Genocide Olympics
------------------------------------------------------------

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a totalitarian regime bent on denying the Chinese people their natural rights. They have orchestrated a severe genocide against the Uyghur people, a religious minority in China. Their actions include but are not limited to: forced abortion, sterilization, and contraception, forced labor, suppression of religious practices, and arbitrary detention in internment camps that are estimated to house over 1,000,000 Uyghurs. The Western World, led by hypocritical “Big Guy” Joe Biden, remains silent on the issue, despite their claimed commitment to so-called “human rights.” The Biden Administration’s unwillingness to criticize the CCP shows how they prize money over the values that they purport to represent. The victims of this are people across the world whose governments know that the United States will not take action against them so long as the cabal of globalist special interests advocates for silence because of their Chinese investments.

While it isn’t surprising that a man who campaigned from his basement is unable to restrain the CCP, our biggest geopolitical foe since Soviet Russia, what is even more unsettling is what the CCP has on Biden and his family. What we know from the Laptop from Hell is that Hunter Biden was paid handsomely by CCP-backed investors, but how deep the Chinese Corruption with the Biden Crime Family goes is uncertain. Even though the Biden Administration’s lukewarm condemnation of the genocide is to be expected given the numerous failures plaguing the administration—among them the border, the supply chain crisis, inflation, and the violent crime epidemic—the corporate support of the CCP’s Genocide Olympics is especially egregious.

Numerous multinational corporations are sponsoring this year’s 2022 Winter Olympics hosted by the CCP. The top five US Corporations sponsoring the Genocide Olympics are: Airbnb, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, and Intel. They seem to not only disregard the genocide against the Uyghurs, but also the numerous other human rights abuses the CCP commits, including, among others, disappearings, rape, and extrajudicial executions. Most recently, Democrat Mega-Donor and Golden State Warriors part-owner Chamath Palihapitiya said “nobody cares” about the genocide against the Uyghurs as the profits to be made in a rising China are just too lucrative to be concerned of a genocide that is in similar modern scale to only the Holocaust.

We ask our Club Members to watch not even one second of the Genocide Olympics, and we condemn all of the corporate sponsors and Chamath Palihapitiya in the strongest possible terms. During the 1980 Summer Olympics in Soviet Russia, the United States led a boycott of the Olympic Games against the USSR’s invasion of Afghanistan. Unlike Joe Biden, if we had a strong and able President representing the American people’s interests, as we had in President Donald J. Trump just over a year ago, we would be doing the same today.

Board Positions Available!

The New York Young Republican Club is seeking applicants to fill newly vacated spots on our Board of Governors for the 2022 term.

The following positions are now available:
* Finance Chairman
* House Chairman

These new Chairmen will serve as voting members of the Club’s Board of Governors and will report directly to the Executive Committee. They will be responsible for managing and overseeing their respective committees, including managing and appointing other committee officers and members.

We are looking for individuals passionate about conservative politics with experience in each committee's specific area of interest.

Applicants must be current members of the Club in good standing and be willing to commit to attending at least one in-person Board meeting and one Club event per month.

For the Finance Committee Chairman, we are looking for individuals with experience in finance, banking, accounting, investing, or related fields. The Finance Committee Chairman works directly under the Club Treasurer.
