Instead of taking action on the issues affecting Georgians, far-right Republicans like Gov. Kemp are stoking division and making our communities less safe by wading into the culture war.

Gov. Kemp and his allies are trying to make weakening gun safety a campaign issue (again). They’ve been loosening gun laws for years, and now they want almost anyone to be able to carry a gun in public. It’s a reckless and shameless political stunt.

But here’s the truth: Working people want their leaders to tackle issues like COVID-19 and economic recovery, not put them in danger to throw red meat at their base in order to win elections.
