Dear John,

As 2022 begins, we continue to recognize that we live in complex and challenging times. There is a lot of uncertainty ahead, and we are all wondering: What does 2022 hold for the world?

Last week, WRI President and CEO Ani Dasgupta

hosted our 19th annual Stories to Watch – WRI's flagship event. During the presentation, Ani outlined his insights on critical questions, including: how can we accelerate the energy transition, will the world follow-up on its bold pledges to end deforestation, will the surge in electric vehicles make an impact on global emissions, and more.

Ani noted that “the big question across all six stories is: Will leaders turn these commitments into real-world action?

The issues highlighted in Stories to Watch are at the core of our mission. Together, they will determine whether we can shift course and rise to the challenge of the climate crisis.

I hope that as you watch the event, you see the importance of our work and

that you are moved to support WRI.

John, with you by our side, WRI can push forward in creating the real-world change that achieves impact at scale and gets the world on a more sustainable path this year.
