It really is amazing how that question never comes up in relation to war, but always comes up in relation to Medicare for All, ending homelessness, and ending poverty.

The truth is that, as the richest country on Earth, we have money for our priorities. The problem is what our current priorities are. I’m running for Congress to fight for new priorities: an end to medical bankruptcy, homelessness, and poverty. Please chip in now to help me do that.

The US is funneling money and weapons to Ukraine (much of that going to Ukrainian neo-Nazis) to fight a war we should have no part in. The US and UK are claiming — with no evidence — that Russia is planning to install new leadership in Ukraine.

Is this allegation about Russian plotting true? I don’t know, but it’s pretty rich for the US to get up in arms about this considering we did the exact same thing 8 years ago. In 2014, a phone call leaked between a US Assistant Secretary of State and the US Ambassador to Ukraine in which they plotted to install a new leader in Ukraine.

Here in the US, there are 600,000 homeless people, 1 in 5 kids are hungry, one-third of Covid deaths have been due to lack of healthcare, and almost half the country is poor or low-income. Let’s focus on that.
