We’ve all seen the images; we’ve witnessed the terrible recordings of children yelling for their parents; we’ve heard the stories of abuse and assault. Now, we need to ensure basic humanitarian standards for all migrants held in our custody.

Children are dying in our custody and the facilities that hold them have done nothing to improve the dangerous living situations that these women, children and families face on a daily basis while coming here looking for a better life.

Can I call on you right now to join me in demanding that the Office of Refugee Resettlement provide proper humanitarian aid by adding your name to this petition?

It’s time to demand mandatory health screenings, clean drinking water, proper care and fundamental humanitarian basics before it’s too late.

We need people like you who are willing to stand up and say “no más” and call for bringing an end to this self-made atrocity on our border.

I will continue to fight for safety and rights for all asylum-seekers and those held in custody.
