John --
It has been a busy January at the Republican Party of Wisconsin! We
are excited about Senator Johnson’s recent re-election campaign
announcement, and we look forward to working with him to ensure that
Wisconsinites keep him in office.
As the election cycle heats up, we are always looking for new
volunteers, who represent the lifeblood of our movement and will be
the leading force in our effort to defeat Tony Evers, re-elect Senator
Johnson, and ensure that conservatives win at every level of the
ballot this year. If you are interested in helping launch the Red
Wave, you can sign up to volunteer here,
or find information to contact your county party directly here.
As always, thank you for all you do!

Last week, Senator Johnson
announced his re-election campaign! The Republican
Party of Wisconsin is proud to stand behind Senator Johnson in his bid
for a third term in the U.S. Senate. Since taking office, he has
fought business as usual in Washington, and his courage to stand up
for what’s right has served Wisconsin well. America needs a check on
the failed policies of the Biden administration, and Wisconsin will
make sure that happens by sending Ron Johnson’s independent leadership
back to Washington! If you would like to support Senator Johnson by
volunteering this election cycle, you can sign up here, or find information to contact your county
party directly here.
The Republican Party of Wisconsin
thanks the thousands of pro-life Americans who took to the streets for
the March for Life in Washington, DC on Friday! Life is precious and
worth defending. While Democrats are fighting to force their radical
abortion agenda on all Americans, Republicans will always stand up for
the unborn.
After weeks of dodging questions on
whether he planned to fire Milwaukee County District Attorney John
Chisholm, Tony Evers gave concerned Wisconsinites their answer: there
will be no consequences for John Chisholm after his office authorized
$1,000 bail for Darrell Brooks, who is the suspect of a violent attack
that killed six Wisconsinites, including a child, and injured more
than 60 at the Waukesha Christmas parade. As Chairman Farrow said in
our statement, despite Evers’ suggestion that there
weren’t enough ‘facts’ to fire John Chisholm, here are the facts: John
Chisholm’s office allowed a decades-long violent criminal to walk free
and kill six people in Waukesha, and Tony Evers is refusing to hold
him accountable. Wisconsinites cannot count on him to keep them
safe.

This week, a Waukesha County judge
banned the use of ballot drop boxes in Wisconsin.
Currently, Wisconsin has no law allowing for the use of drop boxes to
collect ballots. Despite that, some communities allowed drop boxes at
grocery stores and in city parks without much, if any, security. This
is a great step for ballot security – but the fight isn’t over.
Republicans will fight Democrats’ abuse of ballot harvesting and drop
boxes, but if these actions are considered lawful, we intend to beat
them at their own game with neighborhood teams in communities across
the state, working to ensure Republican victories.
The Republican Party of Wisconsin
constitution requires an endorsement vote of statewide candidates in
election years. As part of the endorsement process at the Republican
Party of Wisconsin state convention in May, candidates seeking the
endorsement of Republican Party activists are asked to sign a Unity
Pledge of support for whomever wins the GOP primary election in
August. (Some have suggested those not receiving an endorsement should
drop out of the primary, but there is currently no requirement from
the state level that candidates make such a pledge.) Though some have
questioned the need for the Unity Pledge, it should be commonly
understood among Republican candidates that, now more than ever, a
candidate that wins a GOP primary, in August, is clearly preferable to
the liberal Democratic incumbent or challenger. If a candidate under
the Republican banner is unwilling to help the grassroots defeat
liberal Democrats by making such a simple commitment, then why would
they ask the Republican grassroots activists to commit to
them?

In Case You Missed
It…
Senator Ron Johnson announced his
plans to seek re-election in the U.S. Senate and continue his fight
for freedom. After over a decade of service, his dedication to
Wisconsin families is clear – as is the need for another term to help
fight back against the failed agenda of the Biden administration and
its far-left policies. Meanwhile, Democrats are tripping over
themselves while they fight over who is the most liberal in hopes of
pushing their far-left policies in the U.S. Senate.
New York trust fund baby Alex
Lasry’s China problem has progressed to disastrous levels. Last month,
Empower Wisconsin reported on Lasry’s extensive China ties that extend
even beyond his NBA involvement – including potentially hundreds of
thousands of dollars of investments in Chinese companies. Now, reports
show that Lasry received a max-out $2,900 contribution from Golden
State Warriors minority owner Chamath Palihapitiya, who has come under
fire for coldly commenting that “nobody cares” about China’s atrocious
human rights abuses against the Uyghurs.
After running on a promise to unite
America, Joe Biden’s far-left policy proposals and botched leadership
have left our country more divided than ever. Wisconsinites have
watched Biden lead a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, spike
inflation with massive spending, threaten to exacerbate the workforce
shortage with unconstitutional vaccine mandates, create a historic
border crisis, and make America less safe, less free, and less
prosperous.
