John – I know it’s late, but Elaine asked me to get this last email out to her supporters before we start the week.

We’ve asked for your urgent support plenty of times before – but trust me, this moment is different. Elaine is once again running in THE most competitive House district in the country, and national Republicans will spare no expense to defeat her because they know this race will decide House control.

This is our first fundraising goal of the new year, and it’s important that we reach it so that we can show Elaine’s Republican opponents, election analysts, and new voters in our district that she has what it takes to defend her seat.

What we raise this month will set the tone for the rest of the year. Not only will it signal the strength of our campaign, but it will also go towards hiring staff, training volunteers, and getting Elaine’s radio and television campaigns up and running.
