President Biden reaffirmed America’s commitment to a two-state solution, but too
many of Trump's pro-settlement policies remain on the books -- we’re calling on
the Biden Administration to remove them immediately.

Friends --
This week marked one year since President Biden took office. From vaccines
to infrastructure to the economic recovery, the President has made real
and significant progress.
But let’s be honest: When it comes to Israel-Palestine, President Biden
has not yet done enough to promote peace, reverse the damaging boost Trump
gave to the right-wing settlement movement, or help turn around the
alarming, deteriorating situation on the ground.
Over the past year, the settlement project has destroyed the homes of
1,200 Palestinians to make way for settlements and pave the way for
permanent, undemocratic control of the entire West Bank. Israeli
authorities have sent out construction tenders for thousands of settlement
units and approved over 3,000 more. The major escalation in violence last
May left more than 160 Palestinian and Israeli civilians dead, including
almost 70 children.
Since taking office in June, the Bennett government has advanced
significant new settlement projects, proceeded with incendiary,
discriminatory evictions in East Jerusalem, and failed to prevent a
serious spike in violent settler attacks against Palestinian families.
Friends -- President Trump wasted no time in strengthening the
right-wing settlement movement and tilting American foreign policy in
their favor. President Biden must move urgently to rebalance the scales
toward those on the ground working toward peace, equality and an end to
the cycle of violence and injustice.
We’ve put together a list of five executive actions the administration can
take right now to rebalance American leadership, secure Israel’s future as
a democratic homeland for the Jewish people and protect Palestinian rights
and freedoms.

Together, we must show that it’s possible to support Israel’s safety while
simultaneously pushing back on the right-wing efforts to bulldoze and
build their way to permanent, undemocratic control of the West Bank.
We must make clear that failing to directly confront the occupation means
the unjust, unstable Israeli-Palestinian situation will continue to
deteriorate -- harming both peoples and continuing the cycle of violence
and injustice that led to the catastrophic escalations last May.
And we must show President Biden that the majority of Jewish Americans
want to see strong US support for Israel accompanied by real action to
promote long-term peace, justice and equality.

We know loud, right-wing ‘pro-Israel’ groups do not speak for the majority
of our community, but the only way to convince the Biden administration of
that is to come together and make our voices heard.
Thank you, sincerely, for your support.
