Yesterday Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin joined together with 50 Senate Republicans to stop Democrats from changing the filibuster rules, thus ending any chance at fighting widespread GOP voter suppression and protecting our fundamental right to vote.
After the vote failed, there was a loud round of applause from Republicans, celebrating their attacks on our democracy as 19 states passed 33 restrictive voting laws last year and numerous legislatures consider passing even more restrictive laws this year.
Enough is enough. It’s time to Save the Senate by stripping power away from Manchin and Sinema and in this year's elections, we have the opportunity to do just that:

We cannot lose sight of the fact that the House of Representatives and 48 Democratic Senators are fighting hard to create federal standards for voting access, including making Election Day a federal holiday, establishing same-day voter registration, and requiring an early voting period in all states.
Democracy for America is hard at work lifting up progressive challengers like Mandela Barnes-WI, Cheri Beasley-NC, Malcolm Kenyatta-PA and Charles Booker-KY so we can elect at least 3 additional Senators that will fight voter suppression head-on.
With the Senate in a 50-50 gridlock, sellout corporate Democrats like Sinema and Manchin are able to wield an outsized amount of power, but if we elect progressive Senators across the nation in 2022, we can reduce their power and Save the Senate.
