Dear John,
Toxic pesticides are ripping apart the web of life. New research shows that bee-killing neonics are also wiping out aquatic insects -- causing fish to starve as well.
Meanwhile, the Trump Administration is refusing to take simple steps that could reduce the risk of ecological collapse.
Trump’s EPA is sitting on their hands instead of banning these toxic pesticides. Please, John, will you join Friends of the Earth today and stop Trump from allowing bees, butterflies, birds, fish and more to disappear?
Donate $10 or more RIGHT NOW so that we can save bees, butterflies, aquatic life and more from toxic pesticides.

Scientists are increasingly sounding the alarm -- we’re on the brink of a “second Silent Spring.” If we don’t stem insect decline, we could see a “catastrophic collapse of nature’s ecosystems.” One million species are at risk of extinction and pesticide-intensive industrial agriculture is a key driver.
It’s impossible to ignore the role that pesticides play in this ecological emergency. Neonics, Roundup®, and chlorpyrifos are linked to the declines of bees, butterflies, and even songbirds. Monarchs have declined by more than 90% since Roundup® was introduced and 75% of farmland bird species are in decline.
What’s more, these pesticides are harming our health. Monsanto is facing lawsuits from more than 42,700 people because they believe their exposure to RoundUp® caused their cancer. Of the four cases considered so far, a jury found Roundup® to be a major factor in all of them. Monsanto has already been forced to pay more than $2 billion in damages, and they’re expecting thousands more lawsuits to be filed.
The Trump Administration surely knows that banning these pesticides would protect wildlife and communities. But it’s more concerned with the profits of pesticide producers like Bayer-Monsanto and Dow Chemical.
It’s going to take all of us working together to push Trump to act. We can’t do this without you, John. If 75% of the people reading this email donate today, we’ll meet our goal.
Help stop the “catastrophic collapse of nature’s ecosystems:” Donate $10 or more before time runs out!

It’s not all bad news for the bees. In the face of Trump’s inaction, some food companies are stepping up to reduce pesticides in their food supply. Last week, Aldi -- on track to be the third largest grocer in the U.S. -- released a new policy aimed at protecting pollinators through its supply chain. Aldi joins Costco and Kroger in taking initial steps to help protect bees, butterflies and our health.
But these policies don’t go far enough -- and more importantly, we can’t count on corporations to solve this crisis. We need Trump and Congress to act.
That’s why Friends of the Earth members like you have been tirelessly pressuring the EPA to ban Roundup®, neonics and other pesticides. Volunteers across the country are organizing in their communities to ban these pesticides at the local level. And our campaigners are on Capitol Hill pushing Congress to pass legislation to get neonics, chlorpyrifos and Roundup® out of our food system nationwide.
You know that when we work together, we can move mountains. You and I have already transformed the garden industry, including convincing Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, True Value, Ace Hardware and Walmart to eliminate bee-killing pesticides in garden plants.
But we’ve got to act fast to build on that success, before our iconic pollinators -- and all the other living things that rely on them -- disappear forever.
Make a generous contribution today and help Friends of the Earth save bees, butterflies and our food system!
