[1]Cheri Beasley for North Carolina
Republicans in Washington again showed that they’ll put political power above everything else.
After the Senate failed to protect our right to vote, Mitch McConnell suggested that African Americans are not Americans saying, “African American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans.”
That is insulting and wrong – and frankly disqualifying. He has put our democracy at risk time and time again - and his latest comments are a reminder that he cannot be allowed to become majority leader again.
We need new leaders in Washington who stand for the people. That’s Cheri.
Can you make a donation of any amount today to help us flip North Carolina? Cheri isn’t afraid of Mitch McConnell. She’ll stand up to him and deliver meaningful change for our families, but she cannot take on the super PACs that want to defeat us alone.

The truth is Washington Republicans are afraid of everyone having equal access to the ballot box because they know that when we vote, we win. They will say anything to justify their obstruction and maintain our country’s broken status quo.
Thom Tillis was proud to end the filibuster to ram through Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, but look at what he said this week, “The day the Republicans change the filibuster is the day that I resign from the Senate.”
Yeah, right. He has chosen to flip flop at even the slightest amount of pressure from Donald Trump or Mitch McConnell.
We cannot let Republicans take back the Senate, and NBC just reported that our race in North Carolina is among the “most likely to determine which party takes the Senate.”
Please donate whatever you can today to elect Cheri Beasley and hold our Senate majority. We need a leader who will fight for the people — not another coward like Thom Tillis who will do the bidding of Mitch McConnell and corporate interests.

Every contribution sends a powerful message that together we can send a leader to the Senate who will fight for the people, pursue justice and equality, and do the right thing – even when it’s hard.
