Jack, I sent a text recently. Not to a friend, but to the 276,791 people who've signed up for the Daily Kos mobile list. Here's all it said:

The response was huuuuuuuge. The number of people who clicked through to request their tests was off the charts, and the comments we got back from people who got the text were almost universally positive. (Seriously, so many people wrote back to us just to say thanks!)

This tells me a few things:

Daily Kos is a trusted news source for a big chunk of the country—if we weren't, that text message wouldn't have gotten the sort of response it did.
Americans really, really, really want to take advantage of this program that President Biden set up.
Other media outlets have done a piss-poor job actually letting Americans know how they can request their tests.

So I'm writing to you today for two reasons: Firstly, if you missed our text or aren't on our mobile list and you want to receive four free rapid tests, then you can click that link above and do so now. (Feel free to forward this email along to your friends and family too.)
