Forty-nine years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court made its landmark decision in Roe v. Wade. The Court affirmed the right of women to make their own reproductive health choices, including the right to abortion.

Today, a woman’s right to make health care choices has never been more under threat.

Republican-controlled state legislatures are passing highly restrictive laws to close abortion providers and deny women their rights.

The conservative majority on the Supreme Court is primed to overturn Roe later this year.

We know elections have consequences. Right now, we’re seeing the outcome of four years of the Trump presidency and Mitch McConnell as Republican majority leader in the Senate play out.
