Congresswoman Lesko Weekly Update |
Good Afternoon,
I had another busy week in Washington, D.C., including several votes in the U.S. House of Representatives! I attended a press conference held by my Republican colleagues, including House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, highlighting the crises our nation is facing after one year of Democrat one-party rule. I also am proud to have earned an A+ on the Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-Life Scorecard! The pre-born are the most vulnerable among us. I will always fight to protect innocent human life.

Watch my full interview on One America News Network with Natalie Harp where I talk about Democrats’ hypocrisy to advocate for a vaccine passport with an I.D. to get into a restaurant, but not to vote. I also discuss the Democrats’ Freedom to CHEAT Act.

Lesko on Biden’s Disastrous First Year in Office
During Biden's first year in office, gas, grocery, and utility prices have soared, criminals keep crossing through our open borders, and human and drug trafficking are at record highs. Watch my remarks on the House floor regarding Biden’s disastrous first year in office below.

Lesko Talks the Importance of Defending Life
Each preborn baby is a human life, not a “clump of cells.” There should be NOTHING controversial about defending the lives of our most vulnerable. I will always stand for defending life!

Energy and Commerce Subcommittee Hearing
In an Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing, I question Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Blick on pipeline review decisions, development timelines, and preventing pipeline project cancellations. Pipelines are crucial to American energy independence!

Lesko Calls Out Biden for Human Trafficking Hypocrisy
President Biden did a proclamation against human trafficking, yet the largest source of human trafficking is from Biden's open border policies. In a letter to Biden, I called him out for his human trafficking hypocrisy!

Lesko Joins Effort to Hold Communist China Accountable
I joined House Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ (R-WA-05) to call on companies to withdraw their support from the Beijing Olympics. When you financially support the Beijing Olympics, you are financially supporting Communist China's human rights abuses. These human rights abuses include slave labor, internment camps, and disappearing citizens. My colleagues and I are calling on the companies that are supporting the Olympics to stand up to Communist China and pull out their businesses to defend human values!

GET THE FACTS: Biden’s Disastrous First Year in Office
As you may have heard, President Biden finally held a press conference on Wednesday afternoon after going nearly 80 days without a single press conference. During this press conference, Biden blamed the current state of our nation on everyone except himself. With just one year of one-party rule, our nation is facing a multitude of crises. Despite all these crises, Biden claimed during his press conference that if there was a report card on his first year in office, it would look “pretty good.” “Pretty good”? I’d say pretty disastrous! President Biden also claims to have not overpromised. Didn’t he promise to “shut down the virus”? The only thing Biden has shut down is the American people’s confidence in Democrat leadership! Finally, President Biden claims he has outperformed what anyone thought was possible for his first year in office. Well, he isn’t lying… I didn’t imagine this much damage being done to our nation in just one year!

Our office attended Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord’s Celebration of Life to honor her life and legacy. She is greatly missed and will be remembered as a great leader and role model.

Casework Highlight
A constituent reached out to our office because she had not yet received her third stimulus payment. We reached out to the IRS and they were able to process her payment.

Encouraging Story
I am pleased to share this story about a Valley man helping those in need with drawstring bags filled with essential items. Nick Dini has donated almost 1000 bags and is motivated by the drive to make a positive impact on someone’s life. When times are tough, it is great to see people step up to help one another.
