Green Party of the United States

Friend --

Tomorrow is January 23rd, which is Ranked Choice Voting Day, a day of action for a better ballot!

Americans lack meaningful choices up and down the ballot, due to restrictive laws that keep bona fide parties and candidates who are independent of corporate donors and PACs from being able to run for office. In many races, there are only one or two candidates for an office, which is a leading reason for voter apathy.

The GP Ballot Access Committee aims to eliminate this problem by making sure the Green Party itself and Green Party candidates can appear on every voter's ballot. We do this by litigating against unfair ballot access laws, legislating for improved ballot access laws, and running petition drives to achieve ballot lines for our state parties and candidates.

As a result of our work, Green candidates have a platform to discuss often-neglected, critical issues, get media attention and inspire voters. The mere presence of Green candidates on the ballot changes the debate and the nature of elections.

And when Green candidates win, we implement important policies in the areas of environmental protection, social justice, democratic reforms, and real problem-solving that is humane and pro-worker.

What Can You Do?

It's time to turn our Government Green!
