Following on the heels of our successful campaign to divest Charlottesville from weapons and fossil fuels, we're turning to Arlington next. We've heard rumors that the county of Arlington is seeking advice from Charlottesville about how to divest too. That's why we're inviting you to a divestment forum on November 23 in Arlington to talk about the steps needed to cut ties to the war economy and divest Arlington from war profiteers.

Featured speakers include Paki Wieland of CODEPINK, Andy Shallal of Busboys and Poets, Beyond the Bomb Executive Director Cecili Thompson Williams, and World BEYOND War Co-Founder David Swanson. A resident of Charlottesville, David initiated and led the successful campaign to divest the city operating budget from the war machine. Now it's time to replicate that success in Arlington, and across the country.

Grassroots-led war divestment campaigns are springing up all over the world, from students organizing to divest university endowments from weapons manufacturers, to municipalities coming together to divest public pension funds from military contractors. Join us for a divestment forum on November 23 to talk about the ABC's of starting up a divestment campaign in Arlington.
