Today marks 49 years of legal abortion in America and the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision on Roe v Wade. Since that precedent was set, Republicans have been consistently attempting to undermine the reproductive freedom guaranteed under Roe and recently, they’ve had a great deal of success across the country, including right here in Montana.

As Democrats, we are working nonstop to combat these efforts and ensure that reproductive freedom is a reality for everybody– no matter who they are, where they live, or how much money they make. Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell were able to tip the scales of the Supreme Court to truly threaten reproductive freedom in this country. That’s why federal legislation is required to protect women.

The House has passed the Women’s Health Protection Act. Sign our petition today to demand that the Senate follow suit and allow President Biden to finally codify Roe v. Wade into law.
