In 2021 alone, several states passed sweeping legislation curbing reproductive rights. Restricting abortion access and resources, these laws take away our right to basic and necessary health care.
Looking at the Supreme Court’s recent attitude towards reproductive rights, it’s possible that Roe v. Wade could be overturned as soon as this summer.
Even before strict anti-abortion laws were implemented last year, reproductive justice has long been out of reach for many people in America.
That is why I am calling on my colleagues in Congress to provide support and access to a full range of reproductive health options across the country. I am further urging Congress to end the criminalization of abortion, creating legislation that instead supports, represents, and destigmatizes those who choose to have an abortion.
I refuse to back down from the fight for reproductive justice.
