Major news this week: AB 1400 (CalCare), our single payer bill in California, passed the state’s Assembly Appropriations Committee. This is the second major hurdle for AB 1400, and now the bill officially moves to the California State Assembly floor in the next week for a vote!
Not only that, but the Sacramento Bee published an editorial endorsing CalCare yesterday and the benefits it would provide to every resident of California.

We need as many eyes as possible on this article so we can spread the word nationally and build our pressure before the full Assembly votes on AB 1400 next week.
We know that national pressure will be crucial to getting this bill across the finish line, and that other states will take notice of what happens in California. That’s why it’s important that we share this as far and wide as possible.
