On Friday, we joined the great American company Intel in announcing that it will bring its most advanced microchip manufacturing operation to Ohio! This is a huge win against China as we bring manufacturing jobs back to America!
This historic $20 billion investment will bring more than 20,000 good-paying jobs to the buckeye state, not to mention the tremendous impact on so many other Ohio companies in the supply chain.
More than 70% of chip manufacturing capacity is in Asian countries and this project is a significant victory for bringing manufacturing jobs back to America!
Ohio won this historic project through smart, conservative policies that lower taxes and create a business-friendly environment. These policies keep winning for Ohio workers and business-- in 2021 alone, there were more than 400 economic development projects that attracted $7.5 billion in capital investment and commitments to create more than 31,000 new jobs.
