On the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade we must recommit ourselves to keeping abortion safe, legal, and accessible for all.
The right to access safe, legal abortion is in danger.
I wish, on the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I could write to you about progress. About how for 49 years Americans have been able to access a fundamental right — a right to shape when, if and how they choose to have a family.
But conservative state legislatures have launched a coordinated effort in recent years to erode the promise and protections of Roe v. Wade. And now with the courts packed with conservative judges by the Trump administration, the grim reality is that the road ahead for reproductive rights and abortion access is uncertain.
We must recommit ourselves to keeping abortion safe, legal, and accessible for all. That is why I am running for re-election, because the right to self-determination is precious, and I will fight unapologetically for it. If you believe in this campaign, will you consider chipping in $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can today?

When I served on the board of my local Planned Parenthood affiliate, I saw how ruthless anti-abortion extremists can be. Last year’s legislative season was the most hostile for reproductive health in decades.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, nearly 600 abortion restrictions in 47 states were been introduced in 2021 alone, and 90 of those were enacted. The attacks seem to come from all sides – but I know we are on the right side of history.
Please consider contributing to this campaign so I can continue to fight for the majority of Americans who believe in the right to access abortion.
