John,

For my entire career, I've been fighting to protect reproductive freedom and ensure EVERY woman has the right to make a decision about abortion for herself. It's difficult to write this, but there's a chance that today will be the last time that we will be able to celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Over the last five decades, the court had consistently upheld Roe v. Wade as settled law. But reproductive rights are now under attack. Last year, there were over 600 abortion restrictions introduced in state legislatures, with 100 signed into law, and the Supreme Court is considering Mississippi's explicit challenge to Roe v. Wade.

As co-chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus, I am tired of anti-choice politicians trying to turn the wheel of progress backwards and tired of a woman's choice being politicized to serve political agendas.

And in recognizing the generational pain and the toll of the struggle, we must roll our sleeves up and keep fighting. Because as tired as we are right now, the decision made in Roe v. Wade still stands but there are those fighting every day to overturn this historic ruling. We can't, and we won't let them win.

There's no time to waste, and we can't give up the fight. I have been leading the fight to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act in Congress and will continue to be proactive. Today, on the anniversary of the historic Roe v. Wade decision, we must stand in sisterhood and defend the rights of those who came before us, those who stand beside us, and the ones yet to come.

Will you stand with me in support of reproductive rights across America and demand that the Senate pass the Women's Health Protection Act today?
