Today marks 49 years since the landmark Supreme Court decision on Roe v Wade. The decision gave women in the United States a chance to make their own medical decisions and granted them reproductive freedom.

Ever since Roe became settled law, Republicans have been working to reverse the decision and try to ban abortions nationwide. Last year, right here in Texas, Governor Abbott signed an extreme bill into law that almost completely bans abortion and puts a bounty on women and health care providers. This law is both immoral and dangerous for Texas women.

Colin knows that radical laws like Texas’ SB8 prevent women from accessing the care they need and are an affront to Roe. That’s why he was proud to vote for the Women’s Health Protection Act and why he will continue to do all he can to defend women’s reproductive freedom in Congress.
