When I stepped on a roadside IED on a battlefield in Afghanistan, and suffered injuries that would change my life forever, one of the last things I remember in the haze of dust and smoke was the sight of my fellow soldiers rushing directly TOWARDS the sound of the explosion.
Even in the face of certain danger, they ran by my side and gave me the emergency care that ultimately saved my life. “No Man Left Behind” saved my life that day.
That’s why I know that we need more leaders in elected office who abide by this sacred principle. With their leadership, we won’t see fatal failures like the one that Biden created in Afghanistan - the very mission where I lost my legs!
