John,

Today marks 49 years since the Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade , which affirmed the right to safe, legal abortion. Yet, even as we near 50 years of Roe being settled law, reproductive rights are under attack like never before.

Let me say this clearly: Abortion is health care. Period. And everyone who wants or needs an abortion should have access to it — free from judgement and stigma, and free from restrictive laws written and passed by people who have never met them.

But right now, the conservative-stacked Supreme Court is preparing to rule on a case that will decide the future of Roe v. Wade — with all signs pointing to a potentially disastrous ruling.

If the Court overturns Roe v. Wade , millions of Americans could no longer have access to safe, legal abortion. In fact, if Roe falls, 21 states would be poised to automatically ban or severely restrict abortion and force women to proceed with unsafe or unwanted pregnancies.

We need action at the federal level to codify Roe and protect our reproductive rights, and we need to get it done immediately.

As Pennsylvania’s next Senator, I’m committed to codifying Roe v. Wade and defending and expanding reproductive rights in the U.S. Senate every single day. In honor of today’s anniversary, will you make a donation to fuel our fight? [[link removed]]

As a doctor, I’ve sat with pregnant patients making these decisions, sometimes under difficult circumstances. So when I say the consequences of taking that choice away would be horrific, it isn’t hyperbole — I’ve seen it firsthand

Those decisions belong between a woman and her doctor — not politicians in Pennsylvania or Washington, D.C.

But thanks to justices like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, anti-abortion Republicans might get their wish of a post-Roe world.

Late last year, the Supreme Court allowed Texas’s six-week abortion ban to stand, effectively banning abortions before many women even know they’re pregnant. Now, the Supreme Court could be on the verge of overturning Roe for good.

This isn’t just dangerous, John — it’s dystopian. We cannot let anti-science politicians strip abortion rights away without a fight.

I will fight like hell to codify Roe and enshrine abortion access into law, but I need your support. Will you make a donation to help grow our movement today? [[link removed]]

Thank you for your support on this important day.

Val
